The UClub Scholarship Program

Since the 1950s, The UClub of Rockford has been to proud to give back to the community
through The University Club Scholarship program for Rockford area high schools. The purpose is to
encourage and cultivate a social and friendly spirit among members and advance the interest of
University and College trained persons in the institutions represented by them and aid in the
development of tomorrow’s leaders.

PARTICIPATING HIGH SCHOOLS INCLUDE:

Auburn, Berean Baptist, Boylan, Cathedral Baptist, Christian Life, East, Guilford, Harlem, Jefferson, Keith Country Day, Lutheran, North Love, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Academy, and Rockford Christian.

HOW RECIPIENTS ARE SELECTED

Each school selects three candidates with each candidate selected based on their merit-based achievements. The Scholarship Committee determines which candidates will be interviewed based on this criteria. A minimum of four scholarships are awarded in May of each year with an initial scholarship of $750.00 per awardee. If the student maintains a B grade point average each semester over their first four years of collegiate studies, the scholarship may be worth as much as $6,000.00.

UCLUB MEMBERS CAN DONATE TO THIS FUND

Club members and community friends are always encouraged to make donations to the Club’s Scholarship Trust. As the Trust grows in value, the Club will remain committed to generously rewarding our area’s best and brightest students. Donations may be tax deductible.
